Maddi completed a Bachelors of Occupational Therapy at Deakin University in 2023. After developing an interest in hand therapy through her placements, Maddi worked as an allied health assistant before transitioning into a hand therapist role.

After graduating Maddi completed the Hand Faculty’s Early Career Fellowship in Hand Therapy to further develop her skills while working.

Through her continued involvement in hand therapy, Maddi has built experience in treating finger, thumb, wrist and elbow conditions, including but not limited to, arthritis, tendinopathies, sporting injuries, fractures and CRPS.

Outside of work, Maddi enjoys aerial apparatus, indoor rock climbing, sewing and gardening. This has contributed to her understanding of the patient’s need to get back to the activities they love doing.

Maddi appreciates the importance of getting to know the patient, in order to provide individualised care that works for their wants and needs. She also recognises the value in the patient being in control of their own care and therefore being a part of the planning process, as well as understanding their condition.
